Tom "The Teej" Wells is the lead guitarist and backup vocalist. Tom reluctantly joined Senior Discount in October of 2003. He had previously been in and out of many different styles of bands as the lead singer*/guitarist, but found himself without a band around the same time that Senior Discount formed. Chuck wrote a song called "Smile" with a breakdown that he could not play, so he asked Tom to come in and play this song with them. With a groan and a sigh, Tom decided to join them for ONE song, and played a few shows with them.
One day, while practicing with the band, Tom started jamming on the other songs with them, and as he looked around the room, noticed all three members of S*d perk up. He thought to himself "Fuck, they're gonna ask me to join." He agreed to join, but told himself it would only be for a little while - maybe until he could get together another band, and he's been in the band ever since.
Turns out, it was the best decision of his life, and hasn't looked back since. I mean, who wouldn't want to be pranked constantly, or made fun of on a daily basis? - written by Tom Wells
